On October 15, Medring announced the opening of its METiC smart clinic for affluent Vietnamese clients in the Ha Dong Aeon Mall in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Utilizing Japan's high level of medical care and the latest digital technology, the medical DX startup will offer a chain of clinics with a standardized quality of medical care at every facility, to achieve "a world in which affordable medical care is available to anyone, anytime, anywhere."
The clinic will open on October 31 as the first facility in a smart clinic business that utilizes AI and other digital technologies. Initially, the clinic will conduct free examination experiences such as body composition analysis and echo. A pharmacy will open alongside the clinic. It will formally open in December as a smart clinic. The clinic aims to help eliminate the uneven distribution of medical care that seen as an issue in Vietnam, by which both patients and medical staff are concentrated in large hospitals.
Medring aims to expand technology-based Japanese-style smart clinics to 100 facilities in 4 countries in Southeast Asia over the next 5 years, with plans to open a clinic in the Long Bien Aeon Mall in Hanoi in April 2021 as its second clinic in Vietnam.
