The Nablas AI Research Institute began offering the new The iLect ON service through its AI education service iLect on April 13, providing hybrid classes which combine the advantages of in-person classes and online classes.
In the past, iLect has provided an applied AI education program focusing on in-person classroom-based classes which were considered to produce superior learning results. iLect ON leverages the educational methods they have developed through their classroom-based classes, reproducing them in a format which it combines with online lectures. The class participants can take the classes in small groups in a meeting room, or alone from their home or own desk.

Students can also participate in classroom lectures, as with iLect. Moreover, with the current postponement of in-person classes due to the novel coronavirus, participants can take classes purely online.
The classes provided by iLect ON are DL4E: Deep Learning Basic Class (Engineer Certification Version) 5 Day Course, DL4US: Deep Learning Applied Development Class 4 Day Course, DS4Me: Data Scientist Training Class 5 Day Course. The fees vary depending on customization of the course contents. The maximum class size is 100 people (the minimum class size is 20).
For iLect ON, the students get together online at the scheduled class time, and study the same topics at the same time. As a result, message board discussions, etc., will concentrate on the same topics, producing strong learning results through sharing knowledge, etc.
Streaming of lectures uses an HD video system. With live streaming, it is possible to rewind immediately and replay any parts one missed or complicated explanations. The streamed videos can be watched after the class, so they can be rewatched for a refresher.
For the programming environment used for the seminars, the setup of the environment and the teaching materials are all provided by the company before the class begins, so the students can simply login through their browser and start learning immediately. Staff is also on standby online, so that they can provide real time support for parts of the class that are unclear or for the programming screen.
In addition to teaching materials and live streaming video of lectures, standard add-on services provided include the iLect system (a cloud-based high performance GPU programming environment), competition-style homework and grading, score information, and the Numpy test (a preliminary skills test before the class).
