Caster, promotes the spread of remote work, has raised a total of $5.45M

Caster announced on April 9 that it has raised a total of ¥600 million (about $5.45 million) through third-party allotment. The underwriters are STRIVE and Yamaguchi Capital.

Caster started providing "CASTER BIZ" in 2014 and created the "Online Assistant" market in Japan so that anyone can do remote work, including secretary work, human resources, accounting, translation, and website operation. Currently, they have a wide-ranging human resources business centered on remote work, with more than 700 members and more than 1300 companies using the service.

In particular, the number of companies introducing remote work to counter the new coronavirus has rapidly increased this year, and so has the number of consulting requests regarding the introduction of remote work. The company says that the importance of promoting their mission to spread remote work has increased more and more, and that they will use the skills they have cultivated to help the world handle remote work better.

The funds they raised this time will be invested in security systems, for which needs are increasing due to the spread of remote work, work management systems for remote workers, and the "bosyu" business operated by their affiliates.
