Kyash announced on March 31 that it raised approximately ￥4.7 billion (approximately US $43,700,000) in funds in a Series C round. This brings Kyash's cumulative total of funds to ￥7.4 billion (approximately $68,800,000).
For individuals, Kyash provides advanced next-generation "Kyash Cards," which link up with the digital wallet app, "Kyash." For businesses, Kyash offers "Kyash Direct," a payment platform through which Visa cards can be issued immediately with web APIs.
The round raised funds through a third-party allotment of shares, and was co-led by America's Goodwater Capital, which has been participating since Series B rounds, and venture capital Greenspring Associates, which has ￥1 trillion ($9.3 billion) in assets under management. The round also saw participation from growth equity fund Greyhound Capital (UK), venture capital Altos Ventures (US), global venture capital Partech Partners, Fintech venture capital Broadhaven Ventures (US), venture capital Tekton Ventures (US), and Rahul Mehta, Managing Partner of DST Global. Also taking part was JAFCO, the Japanese venture capital which has participated in funding since Series A rounds.
