On November 16, Gaudiy announced that they raised 300 million yen (around 2.9 million dollar) in their Series A round of funding. Strive served as the underwriter.
Gaudiy utilizes blockchain and other cutting-edge technologies to develop token economy enterprises that facilitate digitization for the entertainment sector. And they create opportunities for IP (intellectual property) content providers to reach customers directly. By taking advantage of DID (Decentralized Identifier), which uses blockchain, it's possible to link a single IP to different business-to-business services that develop ventures.
Gaudiy builds community service enterprises for IP content that mainly centers around manga and anime, games, sports, and Japanese idols. In addition, they co-develop usable solutions both inside and outside the community with major companies.
Moving forward they are working to expand globally with a foundation of Japanese IP content, as well as put a focus on promoting joint ventures to develop solutions with leading companies. They also have an eye on further growth and expansion, along with increased hiring.
